About the Item
This is an absolutely stunning Jade, Lapis Lazuli and Pearl Fly Bug Insect on a Leaf Brooch Pin in 14 Karat Yellow Gold. The fabulous fly or insect has a lapis lazuli cabochon body and a pearl head. Its wings and legs are gold. The bug rests on a gorgeous carved green jade leaf with a gold center. The design and artistry of this jewel are exceptional. The brooch dates to the Retro, Mid-Century period. The fly on the leaf will dance delightfully across the body when worn and insect jewelry is all the rage today!
The brooch is 3 inches (75mm) wide, and is 1 1/2 inches (38mm) tall.
The fly is 1 inch (25mm) long. The fly turns on the leaf to be placed in whichever direction you would like.
