About the Item

Here we have an antique brooch with an enhancer hook that was crafted from solid 18k yellow gold during the Victorian era. The brooch features a magnificent piece of natural coral that is bezel set at its center. The elongated oval coral is a deep, rich, and even reddish-orange color and is hand-carved with a gorgeous high-relief cameo. The coral is encircled by a frame of 18k yellow gold with raised and polished square accents as well as two thin twisted gold wires. Finally, to the North, South, East, and West there is a grayish-white seed pearl bead set into a raised square setting with beveled edges. Additionally, on the back of the brooch, at the bottom, there is a hook from which you can hang an enhancer. This antique piece is in excellent condition and comes with the original GIA certification for the coral. The certification states that there is no indication that the stone has been dyed meaning the deep and rich color is 100% natural.
