Robert Lee Morris Sterling Silver Peephole Brooch
About the Item
This bold and very sculptural brooch by robert Lee Morris is sterling silver, and is an actual dome that is nearly 3/4" high. there is a rimmed hole in the top center which makes this form completely mysterious and engaging. For the lover of wearing clusters or groupings of brooches on their coat. A very unusual piece, this three dimensional silver form is strikingly original and at the same time very clean and pure. Created in the late 1980's during a very active period of collaboration between Robert and Donna Karan who was asking for silver brooches to wear down the runway with her fall jackets. Called the Peephole due to its resemblance to a door peephole where one can see the person on the other side of the door.
