AJD Sparkling Dangle Brazilian Emerald Earrings May Birthstone
About the Item
Sparkling handmade Brazilian emerald earrings. These one of a kind earrings are created from hand selected gemstones from our favorite vendor in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. These are gorgeous medium color and quality emeralds from Bahia, 5.82 total carats. The setting is handmade 18KT rich yellow gold, 4.7 grams, and features a sparkling diamond between the pear shape top emerald and the long tear drop shape lower emerald. They hang one inch in length and are 5/16 inches wide. The earrings are secured with a push post back. Wear elegant Emeralds and feel their power. The Egyptians mined Emeralds nearly 4,000 years ago and Cleopatra was an enthusiastic collector. It was believed to give foresight into the future and was a token of good fortune and the abundance of the life force. Emerald is a part of the Beryl family. Also, in the Beryl family you will find in addition to emerald, aquamarine, golden beryl or heliodor, morganite, goshenite, and red beryl. Emerald is the traditional May birthstone and a talisman for Gemini. ME2300

Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
