Art Deco 1920s Platinum 3.52tgw Cabochon Sapphire and Diamond Drop Earrings
About the Item
A pair of Art Deco platinum, white gold, sapphire, and diamond earrings, each comprising forty round cut diamonds, and one round cabochon blue sapphire, set in platinum, with 18 karat white gold posts and butterflies.
These stunningly beautiful earrings are an exquisite example of Art Deco glamour. A sparkling old cut diamond, elegantly bezel set with millegrain detailing starts these earrings off in the most exquisite fashion. From the old cut diamonds, drops a rectangular bar, set with nine single cut diamonds, with millegrain edging. From there, drops a striking geometric form, set with diamonds and a cabochon sapphire. The circular, cabochon sapphires are bezel set and surrounded by a sparkling halo of single cut diamonds, and are hinged on an openwork, buckle like form, adorned with diamonds and millegrain detailing. The sapphires are a striking, vibrant and luxurious blue, and the diamonds are bright, white, sparkly, and well matched with one another. A pair of truly glamorous Art Deco earrings, which are articulated to allow them to move with you. The earrings are in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
