A wonderful clip by influential Spanish designer Jose Maria Puig Doria.
Founded in 1948 in Barcelona, Puig Doria was at the forefront of modern jewelry design, renowned for incorporating unusual materials - wood, titanium, even eggshell - into his pieces.
This stylish clip features an ebony circle with a yellow gold "stitch" set atop a sterling silver column. Besides being a stylish way to carry one's credit cards, it can be worn any number of ways: in the buttonhole of a lapel, tucked into a breast pocket, as a tie bar. It measures 61.7mm in length and 9.7mm high, and weighs 8.43 grams. The clip is signed PUIG DORIA and 925 indicating sterling silver.
