Victorian Diamond Flower Head Clasp
About the Item
A Victorian diamond flower head cluster clasp with a white bouton pearl centre, accompanied by GCS Report stating to natural of saltwater origin, the two rows of petals with old- and rose-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of 1.9cts, silver set to a gold mount, with later clasp fitting, circa 1860, measuring approximately 3cm in diameter, gross weight 11 grams.
This antique clasp is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as 9ct gold and silver.
This stunning Victorian piece comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This clasp is in the shape of a detailed flower head, set throughout with dazzling old-cut and rose-cut diamonds that scintillate wonderfully. At the centre of this clasp is a lustrous natural pearl that provides a beautiful complement to the diamonds.
