Arizona Chrysocolla Necklace

The length of the necklace is 18 inches (45.7 cm). The size of the smooth round beads is 16 mm.
The beads' color is bright and deep. They are a mixture of sea green and aquamarine with an admixture of green, light blue, celadon, and sky blue-green.
Sometimes, this stone resembles turquoise; sometimes, it resembles azurite, a necklace of bright, shiny blue-green shades in bright sunlight.
The color is authentic and natural. No thermal or other mechanical treatments were used.
The necklace is fastened with a rare silver handmade clasp, with a cabochon made of natural Arizona Chrysocolla.
This necklace alternates beads of chrysocolla with 2 mm silver beads.
The weight of the necklace is 157 grams.
This is a very beautiful chrysocolla from mining at the old Ray Mine of Arizona! Intense, deep turquoise color - a fantastic and super-rich specimen!
Chrysocolla from the Ancient Greek language is translated as "golden glue." The name Chrysocolla comes from the two Greek words chrysos, meaning “gold,” and kolla, meaning “glue.” Why would a stone be named after gold when it’s quite obviously a blue-green color? Well, to know the answer to that, we have to go back in time to 300 BC, when ancient civilizations mined this copper ore mineral to create solder for gold. Therefore this stone was literally “gold glue” because it was the primary component used to bond pieces of gold together.
Chrysocolla heals. Chrysocolla, with associations of tranquility, peace, intuition, patience, and unconditional love, is known as a healing stone among Native American cultures, where it has been used to strengthen the body's resistance to illness and emotional duress.
