Victorian 18 Karat Gold French Decorative Fringe Chain
About the Item
A flexible, sleek 18 Kt Gold chain in abstract fringe design was made in France in c. 1870.
French jewelers are known to be exceptional jewelry masters and have had this reputation for hundreds of years. The marvelous attraction of this chain is hat it is flexible, comfortable, wearable and can be worn from breakfast to dancing in the dark. It is not heavy on the body. Spread the primary image to enlarge it and see the chain is a herringbone weave on which links are attached around its entirety. The "fringe" makes me smile because to me each reminds me of a little person. This is a time when gold is high in value and this will be an investment piece and heirloom.
