Antique Victorian Cushion Paste Silver Riviere Necklace

This exquisite Victorian c.1800s Silver and Cushion Paste RIVIERE Necklace radiates timeless elegance. The meticulously crafted piece boasts a stunning array of paste stones, each enhanced by a silver-colored backing for added brilliance. Set in an opulent Crown-style design, the necklace exudes an air of regal charm, possibly of French origin. Measuring 15" in total length, the necklace features paste stones ranging from 4.2mm to 7mm, with a 6mm clasp. Weighing 25 grams and unmarked but confirmed as silver, it showcases a push-in working clasp, discreetly repaired over time. The central stone retains its original gold fittings for a pendant, while a late Sterling Silver safety chain ensures durability. Despite minor nibbles on the paste edges, visible under magnification, this remarkable piece remains in overall good condition, ready to grace any occasion.
