Betty Cooke Gold and Diamond Necklace
About the Item
Streamlined and elegant gold necklace with diamonds by the late Modernist jewelry designer, Betty Cooke. Cooke is known for her minimalist yet strong designs. Most of her work was in silver but this custom necklace is 14 karat gold. Two diamonds that are about 1/3 of a carat each sit on either side of the drop that is part of the choker. Cooke was very adept at turning surfaces from wide to narrow and back again as she did in this stunning necklace.
It is sold in the original box with Cooke's signature. Cooke's work is in the permanent collection of the Walters Art Gallery; Museum of Fine Arts Boston as well as other museums.
