Natural Peruvian Opals Mixed colors Large Teardrop Necklace: 18KT and 14KT Gold. Stunning large teardrop opals strung on a modern silk cord, gold french wire. 18KT gold clasp, 14KT gold spacer. 18KT GF beads and Gold french wire. No wear. Length including Center Drop and clasp is 16-3/4 inches. I have added an image of the piece being worn, model has a 13-1/4 inches (Diameter) Neck.
About: Peruvian opals are a rare gemstone found in the Andes Mountains near San Patricio Peru. This gemstone is usually colored blue to blue-green. Most jewelers describe it as the color of the Caribbean Sea. These stones may enclose dark inclusions that look like ferns. Also the amount of this color may vary within a single specimen. The opal's properties are believed to have a calming effect.
