About the Item
The Fig drop pendant necklace is made of 18 karat yellow gold and features a cabochon grown dark green quartz. The gem drop is designed to let light through, and the necklace was featured in Vogue UA.
The idea for the jewellery collection came to the artist, Polya Medvedeva, while she was reviewing fragrances with sweet and fresh notes of fig. The collection became a mascot for everyone who adores fragrances or sunny places where this fruit grows.
In ancient myths, figs were one of the sacred trees and symbolised peace, fertility, generosity and the richness of life. Figs were also equivalent to the Bible's forbidden apples, and fig leaves were the only clothes for the first humans in the garden of paradise.

Her designer jewelry combines the precise work of professional fine jewelers with a rich history of being in the market since the 19th century, along with new sculptural ideas by the artist herself. Polya's pieces are featured in Vogue UA, Harper’s Bazaar UA, Another magazine UK, and other publications. One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
