About the Item
A very French necklace from the Art Nouveau period that is typical of French design of the era. It is graceful and lacy as its links graduate all around the neckline. French Art Nouveau jewelry took gold to new uses by creating flowing curvaceous light designs that were comfortable and easily wearable . Flashy stones did
not take precedence over the gold technique. This necklace can be worn under a shirt, on a dress or under a jacket whether to work or a wedding. Perfect condition always. Length 17.75 inches. 18.5 grams
