Krementz Art Nouveau Yellow Gold Natural Pearl Festoon Necklace
About the Item
This exquisite pearl festoon necklace is a signed piece by Krementz from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, the curvilinear design has a flowing, organic appearance that is highly characteristic of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. An ensemble of natural pearls are interspersed throughout the design, including five that dangle in tiered lengths at the center. Each pearl varies in size, shape, and color, giving further natural beauty to the design. Multiple strands of chain drape along the middle, adding further shape and dimension to the festoon design. The necklace fastens with a spring ring clasp in the back, and is stamped "14K" beside the Krementz hallmark on the reverse side of the central pendant. When worn, it rests beautifully along the neckline, making an ethereal statement piece that would appeal to the fine Art Nouveau collector!
The necklace measures 16" long. The centerpiece hangs 1 5/8” long and measures 1" wide.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the pearl accents, all of which are intact. The spring ring clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
