About the Item

Antique British or American Pendant / Locket in solid 14K Gold , ca. late 19th - early 20th century with openwork raised socket HOPE combination decorated with Diamonds, Sapphires, Rubies and Emeralds. Bail decorated with rose - cut Diamonds. Both sections with inner removable bezels with original Glass covers inside. All Diamonds, Sapphires, Rubies and Emeralds are naturals, all 82 stones are hand - cuts. No missing stones. Total of 33 rose cut Diamonds, average Ø 2mm /0.04ct each, white and clear stones/ total weight of Diamonds ca. 1 ct. Total of 10 light Blue Ceylon Sapphires, both old European diamond cut and cushion cut Ø2.25mm/ 0.05ct each / total weight ca.0.5 ctw Total of 18 natural Ceylon Rubies of both old European diamond cut and cushion cut, average Ø 2.5mm /0,07 ct. each / total weight ca. 1.26 ctw. Total of 21 natural Emeralds of old European diamond cut and cushion cut , average Ø 2.25 mm mm / 0.05ct / total weight ca. 1ctw Thus total weight of Gems here ca 3.75 ctw Not hallmarked, all metal parts tested solid 14K Gold. Apparently base Gold alloy is Rose /Red parcel guilt with a layer of higher grade 20K - 23K Gold. Dimensions : 35 mm long suspended including the hanger ring x 31 mm wide x 11 mm deep. Heart measures 40 mm long. Bail's opening Ø 9mm. Weight : 23 grams Fine condition , very minor dents and scratches. Minor loss of Gilding likely occurred as a result of past metal tests , visible in one area. Hinges of the folding lock in great working order; it will close securely. CUSTOM WORK : About Resizing: Resizing of rings can be done on request. The work will be done by experienced professional jeweler. Note: We will not be responsible for any physical/color changes that may occur as a result of heating of the stones during the process of resizing. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed.
