Antique Scottish Victorian Landscape Agate Cross
About the Item
A gorgeous Scottish Victorian Landscape Agate cross shows how the hand of man can enhance a gift of nature. Translucent dendritic agates are cut into elongated triangles that are have a round center. The proportion is beautiful as are the neutral colors of the stones. The tree like forms are caused by manganese or iron oxides naturally occurring in the agates. A wonderful jewel for the reverent and antique collectors who love crosses. c. 1860-80 8.9 grams 2 inches high
