Art Nouveau 14k Garnet Pendant
About the Item
A fabulous garnet pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 14k rosy gold, this unique pendant incorporates a unique, geometric-design. Although the top of the piece is thin and narrow, the pendant expands and takes on a shield-like shape. The center of the pendant features a square cut garnet, which is held within a smooth and simple bezel setting. The garnet is intersected by four, double-stranded "rays", which draw the eye to the vibrant red stone. Both sides of the piece are identical, and the top of the pendant features a complementary bail, perfect for attaching the pendant to a favorite chain! A unique piece, this pendant would be perfect for everyday wear!
Measurements: The pendant has a height of 1 5/8" (including the complementary bail) and a width of 7/8" at its widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The garnets are both secure and intact, and the complementary bail is secure and in working order.
