Art Nouveau Enamel Heart Nude Goddess Maiden Playing Harp Locket Necklace
About the Item
This is a gorgeous antique gold filled Victorian - Art Nouveau locket pendant necklace which features a beautiful nude goddess maiden lady playing a harp, with flowing hair. On the reverse is a fabulous enamel red heart motif with white flames above. The locket is attached to a fabulous mesh chain via a wonderful spring ring. The locket and necklace are in wonderful condition. The mesh chain feels gorgeous on the neck!
The design is absolutely exquisite and very rare. The locket is so full of romance, music, art tranquility and peace. It is a very special piece. The reverse is decorated with an enamel heart motif. This is one of the rarest antique goddess music motif lockets we have seen. It is antique and dates to the Victorian - Art Nouveau period. The locket opens to reveal places for two photos. The wonderful locket dances delightfully around the neck. Goddess maiden inspired jewels as well as lockets are all the rage today and finding one of this quality is just a dream. The locket dates to circa 1880 - 1920.
The Victorian Mesh Chain is 17.5 inches long and approximately 1/4 inch wide.
The locket is 1 1/4 inches across.
