THIS IS AN EXTRAORDINARY MUSEUM QUALITY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN - EDWARDIAN PENDANT NECKLACE. THE PENDANT IS IN THE FORM OF A HEART WITH A FLOWER BASKET IN 14K WHITE GOLD WITH ROSE CUT DIAMONDS AND PEARLS IN AN OPENWORK DESIGN ON A ROYAL BLUE ENAMEL HEART! THE CHAIN IS OF 14 KARAT WHITE GOLD. THE JEWEL IS OF INCREDIBLE BEAUTY AND DESIRABILITY. DATING TO C1900.
This gorgeous museum quality antique jewel is one of those to die for pieces. The Edwardians were the master of using enamel and rose cut diamonds to create exquisite delicate designs. This is a spectacular example.
The flower basket is 14 Karat white gold. The jewel is set with rose cut diamonds in the leaves, and the bow of the basket. The leaves all have milgrain beaded borders attesting to the fine quality of the jewel. The flower petals are of natural pearls. The basket is set in a royal blue enamel within the 14K white gold heart.
It is so very difficult to find these original Edwardian jewels. This one is so stunning and can be worn every day or at the most glamorous affair.
The enamel heart is slightly smaller than the gold heart and there is small bit of space between the enamel heart and the border on the lower left border.
The pendant is 1 inch (26mm) tall and 3/4 inch wide.
The chain is 15 inches long and is hallmarked 14K.
