About the Item
This is a magnificent Art Deco Antique Diamond Platinum Locket Pendant in Royal Blue Guilloche Enamel over 14 Karat Yellow Gold dating to 1922. The extraordinary Art Deco Locket is adorned with Old Mine Cut Diamonds set in an elegant Platinum cartouche design atop the Blue Guilloche Enamel. The combination of the elegant Platinum cartouche, the antique diamonds, and the Blue Enamel creates one of the most stunning and rare Art Deco jewels we have seen. The clean lines of the locket with the extraordinary blue of the enamel contrasts with the exuberance of the Diamond set cartouche in Platinum. Lockets really do not get more wonderful than this one. The locket is all original and is in superb condition. The locket is inscribed along the inner border with L.B. May 16 - 1922 AL. The locket is 14 Karat Yellow Gold. The locket has a wonderful enamel adorned bale. The locket opens to reveal the photo or memento compartments with its original insert.
I love the elegant romantic design and the vibrant colors of the locket. The quality of the jewel is absolutely the finest, rivaling the work of Carl Faberge. The magnificent locket dances elegantly around the neck and creates a conversation piece to be passed on for generations.
