This large and sexy pendant was a brooch that's been sitting in the safe since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Eytan Brandes always liked the color of the gold and the contrast with the stones, but he didn't really like it as a piece of jewelry until he conceived of hanging it face down as a pendant. The leaves are highly detailed with veins and texture, and their outer edges are polished to give them definition, but the inner surfaces manage to be frosty and matte at the same time, giving the gold a pale, slightly rosy appearance. The citrine berries, on their polished stalks really pop against this background. The leaves are gathered by a ribbon, complete with a "fibrous" Florentine finish. The back is high polish and almost as beautiful as the front. The hidden bale is located behind one of the stems and is large enough to accommodate most chain hardware.
