About the Item
Indulge in a magnificent Museum Quality Antique Jeweled Orthodox Bishop Cross Necklace. The extraordinary necklace features a 7 inch pendant of a bejeweled cross in Silver-Gilt with a Heart motif at the top adorned with pendant tassels.
The heart and cross hang from a stunning heavy 46 inch silver link chain. The chain has gold filled rondelles within the chain that match the tassels hanging from the heart. The extraordinary monumental cross hung from the neck of an Orthodox Bishop. It is jeweled and decorated with early paste stones in pink and green and red colors. The reverse of the cross is also decorated with paste stones. The monumental size of the gem set cross is extraordinary. The cross and long silver link chain is one of the most beautiful jewels we have seen and is the work of a master artisan. And Crosses are the height of fashion today as evidenced by Kim Kardashian's recent purchase of Princess Diana's Amethyst Cross for $197,453.
The cross and heart pendant portion is 7 inches (17 cm) tall. The cross itself is 5 1/4 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches wide.
The silver necklace is 46 inches long.
