Jill Garber Art Nouveau Figural Art Nouveau Goddess Sterling Silver Bolo Tie

About the Item

A divine, figural, Mucha-like portrait, depicting an Art Nouveau Goddess in sterling silver, has become a legacy Bolo. Art Nouveau was a romantic movement in art, architecture, and decorative arts which flourished in Western Europe around 1890 through 1910. The Brussels International Exposition held in 1897 brought international attention to the movement, and influenced style throughout the world. Goddess-like images of actress Sarah Bernhardt, and others, were depicted by Czech-born artist, Alphonse Mucha, in a highly-romanticized form during this period. His posters appeared on the streets of Paris and became an immediate sensation. The overnight phenomenon caused by his exquisite work led to tremendous success in the Parisian art community, and deepened the interest in Art Nouveau throughout the world. The essence of Mucha’s work is mystically captured in this finely-detailed, sterling silver Bolo, which measures 2.125” x 2.125”. With dramatic, black, woven cord, Jill’s hand-crafted slide and signature ornamental aiguillettes, this Bolo will take you back to the Theatre de la Renaissance in old Paris. • Hand-cast, sterling silver, figural, portrait depicting an Art Nouveau Goddess • Silver portrait - 2.125" x 2.125" • Custom-crafted Bolo slide in Sterling Silver • Black, woven leather cord falls 21.5" • Aiguillettes, or Bolo tips, measure 1.375” (length) x 0.375” (diameter) • One-of-a-kind high jewelry, exclusively designed by Jill Garber • Hallmarked • Size adjustments will be provided as requested Jill Garber’s high jewelry collection redefines antiquities and artifacts through her love of cultural differences and timelessly romantic prism of synergistic beauty.
