A fine English Mid-Century ladies compact. In sterling silver with a gold-topped lift tab. By David Sutton & Sons of London. With an engine turned exterior and gilt interior. Having a mirror to the interior lid and retaining its original powder screen. Fully hallmarked for David Sutton & Sons, London, Sterling Silver, and 1946. Simply a wonderful Mid-Century Modern compact. Date: 1946 Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are some very fine dings and indentions to the exterior (likely from being carried in a purse). Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
