About the Item

You can't help but be charmed by this sweet antique, Victorian era, Ruby Gypsy set ring in 18ct yellow gold. One of our favourite styles here at StolenAttic and a firm customer favourite. This beautiful ring is a multi stone, Gypsy set ring with a rich, aged golden glow and tapering shoulders, it has a chunky style, the front slightly domed giving a bombe style. The ring features multiple round cut rubies, all housed in tiny claw settings, the centre stones set into a star shaped setting and forming a flower, there are a further two rubies, one either side of the centre design set into flower settings, possibly tulips. The gold has that lovely aged buttery colour to it found only on antique gold pieces, I don't know about you but there is just something so alluring about the old gold glow! This beautiful antique ring stacks well with other rings but looks just as stunning worn alone. Marks and era: It is fully hallmarked for 15ct gold, Birmingham assay office, 1876, Victorian era Condition: Fair used condition overall, minor surface wear and scratches to the gold, commensurate with age, minor thinning of the band at the back, one ruby is a replacement and is a different shade and slightly different size.
