Jade Ring Emerald Green Certified Untreated Circa 1960s
About the Item
Such an unusual one-of-a-kind ring from the middle of the previous century (circa 1960s), this 14K yellow gold ring features a hand-carved, fluted cabochon of luscious, translucent deep emerald green jadeite jade fro Burma.
The jade measures 19.08mm x 7.09mm x 1.64mm. It's securely bezel-set into a simple, timeless mounting. I like the architectural details on the sides of the band: almost like structural joists.
What I truly love about this ring, aside from the spectacular quality of the translucent, luminous jade is the fact that the ring rises only 2.92mm off the surface of the hand. It's really like wearing a wide wedding band; no need to ever worry about the jade getting caught or snagged on clothing. The ring just kind of melts right into the finger and becomes a part of you.
Marked for metal fineness (14K), I could not locate a maker's mark. I believe it was created in America in the 1960s.
Currently a size 7, this ring could be resized by your local jeweler. Ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating that the jade is untreated jadeite from Burma (Myanmar).
