Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine cut diamond in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.15 carats, to a shield shape memorial ring featuring a star motif, a black enamel top and open backholing, leading to decorative scrolling shoulders and flowing through to a solid flat shank with engraving to exterior 'IN MEMORY OF'. Marked yellow gold, indistint hallmarks, English, circa 1862.
