About the Item

Beautiful at least century old Halo Ring in solid 14K Yellow Gold with natural and untreated Greenish Blue Sapphire and 12 old European cut Diamonds. No Silver, White Gold or Platinum around Diamonds in this design. European or Russian,ca. early XX century. No hallmarks, metal tested solid 14K. This ring comes from a collection of one Russian family, owned for 3 generations. Crown is 13 mm x 11 mm x 5 mm. Natural Sapphire of old European oval cushion cut, color is Blue with tint of Green, demonstrates visible Color Zoning, measures : Ø 7 mm x 5 mm x 3.5 mm mm deep / ca. 1.2 ct . 12 Diamonds, all hand - cut in old European style Ø 2.5 mm / ca. 0.08 ct each, total weight here ca. 1 ctw or a bit less. Color ca. F,G / VVS - VS. Finest Used condition. Patina on metal. Sapphire show very minor /no wear to facets. Six stiff claws. All 12 diamond intact and match in size, color and cut. Size: Ø 9.75 US / Ø 19.62 mm. Likely it was sized before. I presume it can be sized down to Ø US 5. Weight : 2.2 grams > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Gemstones may often look differently in different light and weather conditions and time of the day, both indoors and outdoors. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose , if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed.
