About the Item

Old European Ring with openwork crown and delicate shoulders decorated with Diamonds and divided light Blue Enamel. No hallmarks, likely Austrian or German, hand -made ca. late XIX - early XX century. Metal tested solid 18K Yellow Gold. The crown measures : 9 mm high x 4 mm deep. Central Diamond of old European oval cut : 4 mm x 3.75mmx 2.5 mm deep / ca.0.3 ct Minor rose cut Diamonds Ø 1.5 - Ø1 mm . Total weight of Diamonds ca. 0.4 ctw. Color ca. F, G / VS Size Ø 7.25 US / 17.45 mm. Can be sized, but not much. Weight: 4.1 grams. Fine used condition, minor wear to Enamel on one shoulder. This ring should not be worn with no other rings around it. > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Some buyers tried to make return of the items and to avoid paying shipping and restock expenses claimed that : " color is different from that on image .. " there are inclusions that I didn't notice " "it looks smaller than I expected" .. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
