Old Bagues au Firmament Emerald and Diamonds and Enamel halo cluster ring. European or Russian. made ca.18th - 19th cent. It was in possession of some Russian family for 3 generations. Silver and 18K Greenish Yellow Gold composite crown has dark Cobalt Blue Enamel on top measures 21 mm x 15 mm x 7 mm deep . Band in 18K gold with ornamental shoulders, hand - engraved floral ornament on the back side of the crown. Center part of the back side of the crown is slightly concave - shaped for best fit when on the finger. Emerald cut Emerald is 8.5 mm x 6.5 mm /ca. 2.2 ct. Emerald is set in 18K Gold cluster. 20 rose cut Diamonds set in Silver clusters over dark Blue Enamel background about Ø 2.5 mm / 0.06ct each. Total weight of diamond stones is ca 1.2 ctw. Small two tiers Silver diamond flowers / Ø 6.5 mm each. All stones have backs closed and likely foiled under. No hallmarks. In fine used condition. Emerald with minor wear to facets.
