Gorgeous sparkling golden antique cushion shaped Citrine with a checkerboard table is flanked with glittering red garnets, three and each side. The Citrine weighs 7.46ct, the Garnets 6.90ctw. In ancient times people carried Citrine as a protection against evil thoughts and snake venom. The ancient Greeks and Romans enjoyed crafting Citrine into their jewelry. And down through the ages its lovely golden hues have remained popular. Citrine was a favorite gemstone of Queen Victoria in the 1800s. Looking to a different type of royalty, film star Greta Garbo favored Citrine during the art deco era. Citron is the French name for lemon. Bright and cheerful, it will liven up any jewelry and is especially popular in the summer. Citrine brings so much into your life, the power of positivity, energy, and warmth to frayed nerves. Martha lived in Brazil for over 15 years and her travels have taken her to various mining regions within Brazil, South Africa, and the Far East to examine and handpick the gemstones for the Aria Collections. Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
