Gorgeous Ring to wear every day. This beautiful round Brazilian green Tourmaline, 1.2ct, has come out of the vault after 30 years. It is set in a diamond halo of 0.30ct to complement its distinctive Brazilian green with just a hint of blue color. The 14K yellow gold is so rich and lovely and perfect with this color tourmaline, the entire ring is a work of art.
The beauty of Tourmaline and its widest range of vibrant colors are blessings for October born babies. The name of this precious gemstone originated from Toramalli, a Sinhalese word, which means mixed gems. According to some Folk stories, tourmaline received its incredible range of beautiful colors because the stone traveled through rainbows, capturing many beautiful colors on the way. Most commonly found in majestic black color, tourmaline also comes in red, orange, pink, yellow, green, violet, blue, brown, and all hues in between. In addition, it can remarkably be bi-colored and tri-colored, and shifts between two different colors in dichroic form, under certain lighting conditions, or when viewed from different angles.
Here are the meanings of various tourmaline colors. Red color, for instance, evokes strong emotions. Often the shades of red tourmaline are associated with warmth, comfort, and love. Another color, Pink, is believed to cause a calming effect. The color is considered as a token of kindness. The green color, that resembles the natural world, is known for relieving stress.
