About the Item
Brilliant Golden Brown Tourmaline in 18K rich yellow gold ring. This unique ring features an oval sparkling Tourmaline, 9.7 X 7.4 MM, est 2.6 ct. enhanced with 12 diamonds of an est 0.28 ctw, G/H color, SI 1-2 clarity, and 6 blue sapphires. The partial bezel setting is perfect to show off the sparkle of this Brazilian gemstone. This ring comes straight from Rio de Janeiro where it was hand made and is one of a kind, size 4. No changes by seller. The name tourmaline comes from toramalli, which is the Sinhalese word for “stone with multiple colors.” Before scientists recognized it as a distinct stone in the 1800s, tourmaline had always been confused with rubies and emeralds because of its varying colors. There are very few other gems that can match up to the extraordinary colors of the tourmaline. The different colors of the stone have a different meaning. Black tourmaline is associated with self-confidence, pink with love and compassion, green with strength and courage and so on.
While tourmaline is not easily damaged by cleaning agents, it is best to clean it with a soft brush and a water and soap solution. Keep it away from heat.
