Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Half Hoop Ring Circa 1900s
About the Item
This beautiful restored Edwardian half hoop ring features three deep blue sapphire with two early European cut diamonds set in a stunning yellow gold scalloped setting.
The half hoop is a lovely style, sitting across the top of the finger, making the most of this space by filling it with diamonds. These gems are set in a carved mount, decorative both at the sides of the setting and with texture carved into the shoulders of the ring.
Gemstone: One cushion cut (5.60mm x 4.63mm x 3.8 mm), mid-dark blue material, estimated weight 0.80ct
Gemstones: Two oval cut (4.3mm x 3.6mm), mid-dark blue material, estimated total weight 0.64ct
Diamonds: Two early European cut 4.5mm, H-I colour, SI-I12 material, estimated total weight 0.80ct
Metal: 18k yellow gold setting, 15k yellow gold shank (XRF tested)
