Vintage Ring 14k Gold Emerald Cocktail Estate Jewelry

About the Item

A whimsical vintage ring made of 14 karat yellow gold featuring cabochon emerald. The cabochon emeralds are staged as a free form cluster, with a bigger stone in the middle. Being a part of the design, the prong setting creates a berry-like look. The emeralds are topped with diamonds. This bold vintage cocktail ring is made of 14 karat yellow gold and features nine cabochon emeralds accented with seven Old European cut diamonds. This emerald ring top measures 1” x 1 ¼” x ½” (2.5 x 3 x 1 cm). The 14k gold ring weighs 32.7 grams. The ring is size 6.5 (resizable). Emerald jewelry symbolizes trust, hope and love. Comparing to rubies that are mostly associated with passion, emeralds are the stones of faithful, mature feelings. That’s why emerald rings often serve as engagement rings. Because of its vivid, bright color emerald also represents the new beginnings of the spring. It’s believed to supply the wearer with vitality and clarity. Bold and articulated, this cocktail ring is a great addition to your jewelry collection.

About Buckle Symbolism in Jewelry: Buckle design is a classic element in jewelry making. It’s dated as far as the early 1800’s. Perhaps the trend was started by Queen Victoria who was wearing her buckle ring as sign of the Order of the Garter membership. The symbol of the order featured a buckle belt. Also, buckles are designed to connect and fasten things together, making them symbolic of connection. In jewelry it can represent the bond between two people. For bracelets or rings it may be interpreted as a token of commitment or friendship. Belts are often associated with security due to their ability to hold items in place. In jewelry, it’s particularly reflected in designs like chokers where buckles serve both functional and decorative purposes. They can represent personal strength and self-assurance. In some cultures, buckles are seen as protective symbols. The idea is that a buckle can "lock" or "seal" something. In jewelry, buckles might be incorporated into designs to symbolize guarding against negative influences. The symbolism of buckles in jewelry design can vary based on individual preferences. It reflects the wearer's intentions and the context in which it’s worn. About Gübelin Jewelry: Six generations of the family-owned jewelry business and counting. Mario Buccellati Ring Vintage Coral Silver Gold Estate Jewelry
By Mario Buccellati
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
A Mario Buccellati ring featuring coral, mounted in silver with gold accents. This vintage Buccellati ring centers around an oval-shaped cabochon coral. The coral is bezel set in gold and framed by a raised silver surround that features Buccellati’s signature openwork leaf motif. This intricate texture features small gold bead accents placed around the border. The band is wide and tapers underneath, with just enough weight to balance the size of the setting without feeling bulky. This Buccellati ring, with its tactile metalwork, draws attention to the coral as the centerpiece. It’s a vintage design with a quietly strong presence that does not need to compete for attention. Through the years this talent has been the core of the Buccellati’s style. In 1966, Gianmaria Buccellati (1929-2015) with his brother, Luca, took over the family business after their father's death. Today the House is led by third- and fourth generation Buccellati, Honorary President and Creative Director Andrea Buccellati and his daughter, Lucrezia Buccellati Wildenstein. Buccellati design is highly recognizable due to multiple engraving and piercing techniques applied to the pieces. The main idea behind this style is to visually enhance the center stone and give it a larger appearance. The clustered arrangement of gemstones creates a great display of color and brilliance. This feature makes cluster rings eye-catching and serves as a symbol of energy, and the joyous moments they may represent. The meaning of this ring design varies and depends on the context. For some jewelry lovers, a cluster ring symbolizes unity and togetherness. Others see this design as a commitment symbol, and for others, they're all about bringing two families together. That's why these rings are often picked for a wedding, especially for people with kids from previous relationships. It's a beautiful way to convey unique qualities and shared experiences. Cluster rings are often chosen to honor significant milestones, such as anniversaries or the birth of a child. The multiple gemstones may represent different moments in life, making the ring a personalized celebration of the couple's history.
