About the Item
The “Blue Angels” were designed and hand crafted by multi award-winning jeweller Paul Amey in Australia. Stamped with his registered makers mark and precious metal marks, the “Blue Angels” ring was designed and completed with over 48 hours labour and finished in April 2015. All components are masterfully handcrafted by Paul Amey with no casting or 3D imaging used. Diamond and stone settings were all carried out by Paul Amey. "The Blue Angels" ring has matching earrings that are available.
The “Blue Angels” ring is made in 18K yellow gold and platinum with a 15mm "Sleeping Beauty" Turquoise stone that is rub set and is surrounded by a slightly bevelled platinum ring “halo” containing 16 x 8pt F SI round brilliant diamonds that are grain set into the platinum ring with mill grain.
The body of the ring is an open skeleton design containing on each shoulder 1 x princess cut diamond equalling 22pts and 23pts respectively, F SI that is rub set in platinum into a yellow gold circle, set on the diamond shape. Along with and below the shoulder circle is a 2pt brilliant cut diamond, either side of the circle there is a 1 x 5pt and 1 x 2pt diamond that are chenier set in platinum underneath the platinum bezel surrounding the turquoise on either side of the yellow gold circle of the shoulder (i.e. 6 diamonds each shoulder). The back of the band is split and contains 1 x 10pt princess cut diamond that is platinum set and 2 x 2pt round brilliant diamonds, also platinum set, all set within the cavity at the base of the shank.
The ring has a total weight of 13 grams and is size L½ (GB) or 6¼ (US).

Paul Amey Jeweller
PAUL AMEY is an ARTIST, DESIGNER, MASTER GOLDSMITH and a fellow of the Gold & Silversmiths Guild of Australia. Paul Amey was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia with one grandfather a watchmaker, the other a jeweller. Jewellery was obviously in his blood! Paul has been a designer and manufacturing jeweller for over 50 years and is well renowned for his work in creating and producing beautiful high-quality jewellery with a dramatic flair completely by hand. Paul is still passionate about designing and producing special pieces. “I have fun with jewellery and so should customers - I give people choices they don’t get from other jewellers.” Paul has seen a great number of design changes and influences come and go, but he says “the fundamentals have always remained the same skilful design, excellent craftsmanship and an attention to detail.” Like the masters of old, using time-honoured techniques, he is creating modern masterpieces. “Each custom piece is crafted completely by hand, no computers, no mass production.
