About the Item

The Lily Rose Ring 18ct white gold, Diamonds 1.08ct, Rubelite 3.84ct, Emerald 1.36ct The Lily Rose Ring is inspired by the illustrations of lily pads found in decorative Chinese art. The lily is a flower that represents humility and devotion and was chosen by Sarah for the many memories of growing up in Macau. The vivid pink colour of the rubelite represents life and celebration with emeralds adding harmony and balance. Emerald and diamond baguettes radiate from the stunning rubelites. The Hidden Garden Collection, Sarah Ho’s latest chapter into high jewellery, is a personal reflection of the beautiful flowers that have come to represent special moments and tender memories throughout her life. From the lily that graced Sarah’s childhood home to the peony in her wedding bouquet, they have inspired and added to the sentimental nature of each piece. Sarah takes influence from botanical illustration, Art Deco motifs and her Chinese heritage. The rare and precious stones take centre stage, highlighting the intrinsic beauty of the natural world. The designs play with delicate lines, repeating patterns and contrasting elements in this elegant, one-of-a-kind collection. An exuberant celebration of design, rare pearls, gemstones and diamonds; Sarah Ho showcases her bold and feminine creations at her Mayfair showroom and at international exhibitions and trunk shows. Having grown-up in Macau, Sarah moved to London to study fashion and jewelry design. Her interest in jewelry was ignited by the jewel collections of the iconic women in her family. Sarah went on to study gemmology in Antwerp, preparing her to launch her fine jewelry company in 2006. The gemstones and diamonds take precedence in each of Sarah’s designs; whether it be an array of faceted and cabochon stones with diamond capped beads, Paraiba tourmalines graduating from sea green to sky blue or the ring with the rare natural rainbow pearl amidst the rose cut diamonds. Sarah hand-paints each design concept, dreaming-up alluring color combinations and striking silhouettes. Romantic and contemporary arrangements of pearls, diamonds and gems are crafted in to vibrant motifs with her signature enamel patterns, lacework and precious beads; culminating in to a unique and remarkable jewel. Often led by the stone for the design, Sarah takes care to source her gems responsibly and ethically - whether it’s charitable initiatives or reimagining an old piece.
