18K Five Stone Victorian Half Hoop REGARD Ring
About the Item
Our 18K Victorian Regard ring is a romantic acrostic ring set in a linear formation, with six gemstones in which the initial letter of each spells the word 'Regard': Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby, and Diamond.
The 18K band is delicately ribbed all around. The overall profile of the ring is slender with gemstones that are the same size. This makes our REGARD ring ideal for stacking, as shown in the photos.
Similar to ADORE, DEAREST and DEAR rings, REGARD rings were romantic message rings that conveyed a personal message of eternal love to the wearer. The Victorians were mad about romance and sentimentality. Thus, band rings which spelled out romantic words in gemstones, were immensely popular. The gemstones are cushion cuts, a popular gem cutting style back in the 1800's.
The ring is a between 5 1/4 and 5 ½ in size. It can be resized.
