Antique 18th Century Gold Amor Eros Love Moto Ring 'j'en jouirais a la fin'
About the Item
Amor or Eros are tackling the mountain of love. On top of the rock we see the heart the little god is trying to get into is hands. I believe the oval glas has been acid etched and covered with a layer of painted from the back.. Inside the upper rim an inscrition has been acid etched into the oval glas from the reverse 'J'en rejouirai a la fin', I would translate ' In the end I shall enjoi myself '. The scene with the amor takes place on a kind off pedestal line, underneeth the line a heart surrounded by flowers decorates the space inside th lower rim.
