Hand Knit Red Puffed Heart Ring in Sterling Silver and 14K Gold Beads
About the Item
Beginning with a hand knit red puffed heart, a handmade sterling silver heart cup was made to anchor the heart and wire prongs tipped with gold beads to secure the heart on top of the cup.
Alison Nagasue had begun a journey of self learning to knit when her first born was young. Although she didn't keep up the love of knitting due to time constraints, she was enchanted by the idea of merging two handiworks-knitting and fine jewelry.
The result is a one of a kind micro collection of spring flowers and a ruby red heart. Alison had to explore this design direction and she was pleased with the results.
Care for the knitted flower or heart is to not submerge in water meaning avoid shower, handwashing or swimming while wearing. It is expected that water will cause shrinkage of the knit piece. Otherwise, wear in fascination.
