A brilliant blue, high grade 5 x 7 mm oval faceted Thailand blue sapphire is set in a beautifully handcrafted high-karat 22K gold setting with both large and small "jawan" geometric granulation ornamentation atop a substantial and weighty matte-finish shank. This is a great ring, fully displaying the artisanal skills of a master traditional goldsmith. This ring is currently sized 6.5. It is resizable. Top Quality!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
