Steven Battelle 2.8 Carat Zambian Emerald 22K Gold Ring
About the Item
A 2.8 carat 6 x 11 mm octagonal cut Zambian emerald is mounted horizontally, surrounded by a double row of "jawan" granulation in this Steven Battelle "v-bezel with jawan" artisinally hand fabricated piece. A matte-finish, slightly tapered flat rectangular band completes to accent the stone. Currently sized 7, but can be resized. Great contrast between the green and rich high-Karat gold. Nice!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
