About the Item

Great Intaglio Signet Ring with wide band and remarkable Coats of Arms of ancient Scotch Clan of Hay of Tweeddale ( moto " Spare Nought " ) / hand-engraved into the deep of natural Rock Quartz Stone with great accuracy and attention to smallest details. Likely a British ring, ca. late XIX - early XIX cent, the exact origin is unknown. Unisex model, for Men or Women if the size is right. The ring is not hallmarked. The metal was tested solid 14K Greenish Yellow Gold Stone measures 25 mm x 20 mm x 15 mm deep / ca. 60 ct. Used fine condition. Minor Dents, and scratches on metal parts. Stone with very minor signs of wear. Makes a fine impression on anything soft enough. Size: Ø 10.5 US / 20.2 mm. Sizing is possible. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described.
