About the Item
An Edwardian three stone ruby and diamond ring, the oval faceted ruby weighing 0.95 carats accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indication of heat treatment, set between two old brilliant-cut diamonds weighing approximately a total of 1.10 carats, claw set in platinum and yellow gold mount, to a gold tapered D-section shank, circa 1910, later hallmarked London 18ct gold, head measuring 0.7x1.6cm, gross weight 4 grams.

This lovely Edwardian ring comes from the antique ring collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. The graceful simplicity of this piece reflects the taste of the Edwardian period, which moved away from the ornate styles of the Victorian period. It features a central crimson ruby flanked by two dazzling diamonds, all set warm yellow gold. This beautiful ring would add colour and sparkle to everyday wear and would make a lovely antique engagement ring.

A Victorian three stone ruby and diamond ring, the ruby weighing 1.53 carats, accompanied by GCS report number 79185-47 stating the ruby to of Burmese origin, with no indication of heating, set between two old brilliant-cut diamonds with an estimated total diamond weight 0.80 carats, mounted on 18ct yellow gold to a carved scrolled mount, circa 1880, head measuring 0.8x1.9cm, finger size M, gross weight 4.6 grams.
