Antique 18th Century French Silver Footed Wine Goblet or Beaker

About the Item

A fine antique French silver beaker. Illegibly hallmarked to the base and side and inscribed with an owner's mark 'VB' to the foot. Simply a wonderful example of 18th Century French silver! Date: ca. 1800 Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are some light bends here and there (particularly to the rim), some fine and light indentations throughout, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Engraved: VB Marks: Engraved with owner's initials to the foot 'VB'. Hallmarked to the sides and base with illegible French hallmarks. Measurements: Height: ca. 5 in. Diameter: ca. 3 7/8 in.
