Pair of Art Deco German Silver Candelabras
About the Item
This pair of three light candelabras are made from 800 purity German silver and date to the first half of the 20th Century. The pair sit on round bases and have columnar shafts from which stem two further curved arms. The pair are marked for 800/1000 parts pure silver and feature the German silver 'crescent' and 'crown' marks which were implemented after 1888. The pair which are very much in the taste of the Art Deco period were likely manufactured some time during the 1930s, however due to a lack of markings for a maker it is difficult to ascertain an exact date. A lovely addition to a dinner table, perhaps the most desirable part about these candelabras is their diminutive size, allowing conversation to take place over the top of them.
