Finds such as these Venetian Silver Candlesticks are incredibly rare, that truly deserve a museum display. It’s a fascinating piece of the XVIII century history, originating from Venice, Italy. Crafted in silver with exceptional attention to details: featuring Venice assay mark to the circular stepped monogrammed bases, with original fixed sconces (the majority of the antique candlesticks are missing these, which reflects on a value). Bearing a maker’s mark: “D.B.” – which stands for Domenego Bertoli. Height: 18.5cm Weight: 616gr. Despite dating from circa 1770’s, candlesticks are in remarkably beautiful condition The intricate details and craftsmanship of these candlesticks are outstanding, making it a very important piece & potential valuable addition to your collection or home decor.

This pair of elegant 19th century Italian Empire period (1811-1817) silver chiseled candlesticks show a simple but elegant design and shape. The conical structure embellished with festoon and garlands rests on an unfilled round base decorated with acanthus leaves offset olive-shaped grommets adorned with a frieze of palmettes and a flat, plate-shaped drip edge. Smooth design of the surface divided by delicate leaf and cord friezes. These candleholders were crafted between 1811 and 1817 in Rome during the occupation of city by the French Empire.
