In sterling silver.
By David & Gault, silversmiths active in Philadelphia in the 1880's and 1890's.
The thick gauge sterling tea ball has floral repousse decoration throughout, an integral bail to the lid, and is connected to a spout ring by a robust chain link chain.
Simply a top-level American tea ball!
