Dutch Silver Miniatures for a Doll's House, H. Hooykass, Schoonhoven, 1970s Two beautiful Dutch silver miniatures comprising a milkchurn on three bun feet and a bulbous teapot, each with a slip-on cover and swing handle (2) Stamped HH for H. Hooykass, Schoonhoven, marked with the Dutch sword '925' fineness mark with sponsor's mark ML for Martinus Louwers and London import marks, date letter cursive small t for 1974. Pot-1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm) high; teapot-1 1/8 in. (2.9 cm) high, including upright swing handles 23.7 grams; .77 troy ounces (2) The town of Schoonhoven in Southern Holland where this miniature was made is almost 700 years old. After the lords of the castle commissioned the first silversmiths in the 14th century, the city developed into a unique center of silver craft, industry and art. Schoonhoven’s national silver museum has one of the world’s largest collections of Dutch silver and operates the only silver training course in the country.
